The Award-Winning Canadian Blues Guitarist Gives Us a Peek at Her Upcoming Album.

Guitar Player's newest columnist, Sue Foley[1] (check out her debut column in the February 2018 issue), came onboard with more than just ideas and words. She also brought an exclusive, just-for-Guitar-Player-readers video of her song "The Dance."

Even more exciting, this alternate, acoustic version of the song will not appear on her new album, The Ice Queen [Stony Plain Records], that's set for release on March 2, 2018.

Watch!

If you dig this version — good news — Stony Plain Records is offering a digital-only download of the song starting on December 22. Just CLICK HERE[2] for more information.

The Ice Queen features Foley performing with her "Jungle Show" band mates Billy Gibbons, Jimmie Vaughan, Chris Layton, and Mike Flanigin (who produced the album), as well as a host of other guest stars that include Charlie Sexton. The Jungle Show became an instant sell out in 2016, when it debuted in Austin, Texas, at the Austin City Limits Live 3TEN Club. (*And here's a tip: The band returns for more shows this December 26 and 27 at Antone's, Austin.)

"I learned more, and grew more musically in my years in Austin than at any point in my life," says Foley. "The fact that all of these mega-talented musicians have graced my album is beyond anything I hoped for. I am still pinching myself!"
