The Grammys continue its relatively guitar-lite run, but the 2018 nominee list is far from guitar-less.

As obsessed guitarists — and, hopefully, joyful readers of all things guitar in the pages of Guitar Player — we are well aware that the Grammy Awards have served up less than a bountiful feast in recent years. We also know that guitar culture is alive and well (thank you very much) — it's simply not a big part of pop hits and record charts at the moment.

As a result, you may be tempted to pass on the Grammys this year — especially if you've been assaulted by the glitzy ads on CBS for the big show at New York's Madison Square Garden. Could you even hear a wisp of a guitar string ringing out in those promo ads?

But there are some cool guitar moments amongst the 2018 nominees, so if you want to support your guitar-slinging brothers and sisters as they compete for those gold phonograph awards, here's a list of some of the players the GP staff thought you should check out.
