Johnny Winter was one blues' great guitarists, so today we’re bringing you this clip of him with several other guitar greats performing the blues staple “Sweet Home Chicago.”

This performance comes from the 2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival, held at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois on July 28. This was the second Crossroads event presented by Eric Clapton, who founded the festival to benefit his Crossroads Centre drug treatment facility in Antigua. The finale featured Clapton and Winter with Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, John Mayer, Hubert Sumlin and Jimmie Vaughan.

We’re also including Johnny’s performance of Bob Dylan’s “Highway 61” from that same show, which also features Derek Trucks. Check out Johnny’s stellar slide work. The clip opens with a brief interview with Johnny, where he talks about his early influences.

Sadly, Johnny died on July 16, 2014, near Zurich, Switzerland, two days after his last performance, at the Cahors Blues Festival in France on July 14. He was 70.
