Fender has officially released the Phil Lynott Precision Bass, a limited-edition recreation of the trusty ’78 model that the late Thin Lizzy frontman used throughout his career.
Crafted by Fender Master Builder John Cruz, the new P-Bass boasts a two-piece select ash body, rift sawn 1975 U-shape maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, along with vintage-style tuners, a Bad Ass II bridge, large ‘70s style headstock and a custom mirrored pickguard.
There’s also one Custom Shop Hand-wound ’78 Single-Coil Precision Bass pickup and single volume and tone knobs.
The Phil Lynott Precision Bass is being offered for $12,500 in a limited run of just 100 models. Each example comes with a custom Anvil case, custom-made leather strap and studded wrist band and custom mirrored aviation sunglasses.
