

Rush's Geddy Lee has announced that he is auctioning off six vintage guitars from his personal collection.
The auction, which will be held by Mecum Auctions in Las Vegas from October 10-12, features six '50s and '60s era Gibsons and Fenders. It's the first time Lee has ever auctioned an instrument from his personal collection.

1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard
According to Mecum, Lee's '59 burst is completely original, save for a single refret, and even comes with its original case. The guitar is one of the only 650 highly-coveted Les Paul Standards that were produced in 1959.

1960 Gibson ES-345
Lee's 1960 Gibson ES-345 features a Cherry Red finish, and a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 nickel alloy frets and Pearloid split trapezoid position markers. The guitar also comes with its original case.

1955 Fender Stratocaster
Lee's 1955 Strat is completely original, and comes with its original tweed Fender case. It's been given a Certificate of Authenticity by Gruhn Guitars, and has a maple headstock, neck and fingerboard.

1960 Gibson ES-335
Lee's 1960 Gibson ES-335 has been given a Certificate of Authenticity by Gruhn Guitars, and features a holly veneer headstock, a Honduran Mahogany neck, 22 nickel alloy frets, an ebony fretboard, pearloid position markers and two PAAF humbuckers with double white bobbins.

1965 Gibson ES-335
Lee's 1965 Gibson ES-335 has been given a Certificate of Authenticity by Gruhn Guitars, and features a holly veneer headstock, a Honduran Mahogany
