Hudson Electronics has announced its new Broadcast-AP preamp.
A collaboration with acclaimed Canadian guitarist Ariel Posen, the Broadcast-AP is a class-A transformer-coupled circuit, designed to emulate the saturated sound of recording and broadcast consoles.
The Broadcast-AP's silicon transistor and OEP transformer produce, according to Hudson, thick lows and clear upper mids and highs.
Control-wise, the Broadcast-AP features level and gain trim potentiometers, plus a low cut switch that activates a high-pass/low-cut filter. An internal trimmer is also included, to increase gain.
The Hudson Electronics Broadcast-AP preamp is available now, exclusively from UK seller Andertons, for £189 (~$232).
