Bones—the creative duo of guitarist Carmen Vandenberg and vocalist/guitarist Rosie Bones—has sent a volley of inspiration and purpose to male and female guitarists everywhere with their song, "Girls Can't Play Guitar."
“We did this show, and this bloke came up to us and said he loved it—that it was one of the best gigs he'd ever seen," says Bones. "Then, he said no matter how good our band was, no matter how much he loved the show, we'd never be as good as his band, because girls can’t play guitars as well as boys. He said it was 'biologically impossible' because we’ve got smaller hands. So we wrote him a song.”
