Fanny guitarist June Millington is performing a benefit concert for her sister—and Fanny bassist—Jean Millington this Saturday, May 26, at the Art House Gallery & Cultural Center, 2905 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley, California.

Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the show starts at 7:30 pm. Donations/tickets are $20-$30.

Last year, June was selected as one of Guitar Player's "50 Sensational Female Guitarists of All Time" [Read It Here], and she is constantly name-checked—most famously by David Bowie in Rolling Stone—as a true guitar hero of the '70s.

Jean was recently stricken by a stroke, right about the time the revitalized Fanny (including drummer Brie Darling) was looking to tour behind its new album, Fanny Walked the Earth [Blue Élan]. Jean is making progress, and hopes to get back to performing soon. The benefit is to help her out with much-needed physical rehabilitation.

If you can't attend the show, but want to help out, Jean's charity GoFundMe campaign is RIGHT HERE.
