Germany's Marcus Deml was one of the ten finalists chosen for Guitar Player's debut "Guitar Hero" (now, Guitar Superstar) competition in 2005, held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. Deml's vibey, Jeff-Beck-like Stratocaster riffs entranced the crowd and the judges (which included Steve Lukather and Joe Satriani), and he took home second runner-up honors.

Deml's latest project, The Blue Poets[1], recently released its debut album, and in the two videos below, the guitarist demonstrates a few of his solos from the recording. As you'll see, the Strat is still in hand, as is Deml's ability to craft some brilliant melodies and riffs.
